About myself
After leaving Iraq, an interest in images led Koutaiba to study at the 'Academy of Drama and Cinema' in Budapest, Hungary at the end of the eighties.

Under the tutorship of Oscar winning Hungarian cinematographer, Koltai Lajos, he developed a knowledge and passion for the art and process of filming which continues to grow over the years.

Koutaiba stayed on in Hungary after film school for over seven years, working in film and TV for various broadcasters and production companies before making the move to London.
